This is Heather's friend MaryBeth, posting an update to the blog on her behalf.
Today, Heather's surgery began at 7:30am and wrapped up around 10:30am. There were no complications, and her kidney was transported over to Michael's OR. The surgeons successfully placed the donated kidney in its new location, and in no time at all Michael and the new kidney began to work together ;)
Both Heather and Michael are recovering now, and please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!
